How Do I Know It’s My Divine Guidance? #4

One of the biggest issues I hear about and observe with my clients and students is HOW to tell the difference between intuition from Reiki Divine Guidance OR EGO and other unhealthy energies.  Many (most) people have trouble telling the difference and even those who have been doing this work for a long time have a hard time telling the difference sometimes (more often then we’d like to admit it).  We are ALL human after all.  We humans have many emotions and are driven most often by our subconscious fears (EGO).  Plus the world is a very busy chaotic place and it blocks our intuition a great deal.

This is blog #4 about this topic. I truly hope this helps you.  

TIP # 1: START WITH REIKI TO CALM & NEUTRALIZE YOURSELF

TIP #2: QUESTION EVERYTHING!! 

TIP#3: DOES IT MAKE SENSE TO YOU?!!  The information coming through may feel TOO MUCH at first, too scary, too far fetched, too OUT THERE !!  SO question it.  Ask yourself, does it make sense to me?  Sometimes our Divine Guidance will encourage us to do something that feels scary and may test our ability to ‘heal through our fears’ so it may feel a bit crazy at the time.  My DG has definitely nudged me to uncomfortable places quite often but when I did Reiki, sat with it for a time, questioned it and contemplated it, I went for it and grew as a person a great deal.  My DG does this often because I have asked Reiki to help me heal as much as possible.  It’s up to us to either rise to the occasion or not. Healing and facing our fears is a soul and human choice.  Commonsense is a very good discernment tool for us.  If Divine Guidance is asking us to do something that violates our common sense then slow down, do Reiki, ask more questions and ask for signs or clarification.  Do not act on it until it feels right to you.  (Urgency is not a thing, take time to make your decision, Blog #1) You can still be scared, but it’s also healthy to heal through the fear by doing it anyway.  I often say, “If you are excited or scared, it’s for you.  If you are bored, it’s not for you and you’ll forget it soon enough.”  Once I’ve done the whole healing with Reiki process over a scary proposition and now it truly FEELS right, makes sense to me, then the fear dissipates and the excitement takes the lead.  When that happens, it’s truly SPIRITUAL KISMET ! It feels right in all of your cells!

STOP: Reiki yourself.  Once you are more neutral, ask Reiki Source for a sign or new guidance.  Many times, situations that cause stress or fear are HEALING OPPORTUNITIES.  If you are not in danger, then question it.  Is there a relationship, situation or karma that may be healed by doing Reiki on it?   When we Reiki ourselves, neutralize ourselves with Reiki, rid ourselves of the drama voice, then we are able to see more clearly what is truly going on.  And Reiki can even give us guidance on how to proceed in a way that is for our best and highest good for our soul path.  Most situations we feel are ‘urgent’ are actually a chance to heal karma.  If you extricate yourself from the situation too fast, you lose that opportunity to learn and heal.  OR another opportunity will come soon that is even more stressful.  ASK REIKI HOW TO PROCEED! Enlightenment is not comfort or ease, sometimes it’s doing the hard or patient thing.

One of the biggest issues I hear about and observe with my clients and students is HOW to tell the difference between intuition from Reiki Divine Guidance OR EGO and other unhealthier sources.  Many (most) people have trouble telling the difference and even those who have been doing this work for a long time have a hard time telling the difference sometimes (more often then we’d like to admit it).  We are ALL human after all.  We humans have many emotions and are driven most often by our subconscious fears (EGO).  Plus the world is a very busy chaotic place and it blocks our intuition a great deal.

This is blog #3 about this topic and hopefully these will help you start to be discerning and trusting about the information you are getting. If you are not sure, it’s a great idea to check in with these TIPS!! It will help you be more discerning and start trusting your Divine Guidance more.

TIP # 1: START WITH REIKI TO CALM & NEUTRALIZE YOURSELF

TIP #2: QUESTION EVERYTHING!! 

TIP#3: IS IT LOVING?!! Is the information coming through loving to yourself or others? Reiki comes directly from our Higher Power of Love and Light. Therefore Reiki and our Divine Guidance that comes with our Reiki will only hint to us to do things that are loving and kind and for our best and highest good for our soul path. That doesn’t mean toxic positivity. (Toxic positivity is being positive all the time when you really don’t feel positive.) Loving ourselves first and foremost is one of those things Reiki helps us to do over time of continued Reiki. It does take being truthful with yourself and others, which may be knew and hard, but worth it. Sometimes Divine Intuition that comes through may create situations that will need to be talked about and worked out, but not truly injure. Reiki encourages us to love ourselves first and sometimes that means setting boundaries that are best for us and allowing others to adjust. Reiki will not tell us to do anything that will unjustly hurt others or ourselves. If the information you feel coming in is to hurt yourself or others, THAT IS NOT LOVE. THAT IS NOT REIKI DIVINE GUIDANCE.

TIP # 1: START WITH REIKI TO CALM & NEUTRALIZE YOURSELF

TIP#3: TRUE DIVINE GUIDANCE FEELS LIKE FREEDOM!! Our true Reiki Guides of Love and Light that come with Reiki RESPECT OUR FREEWILL totally and completely, just like Reiki Source. Therefore the information that comes through will feel more like a suggestion, an idea, a creative impulse, a nudge and maybe even a whisper. This information, unless someone is truly in danger of course, will feel like FREEDOM to choose for ourselves. If there is ANY feeling of pressure, manipulation, pushing or fear then it is NOT DG (Divine Guidance), it is EGO or even worse, unhealthy pretend guides. (Yes, that’s a thing). Ask Reiki to send out any unhealthy guides and only allow Love and Light and the Best of the Best for YOU to be with you. Talk to Reiki Source only, not the guides themselves. (or talk to God, or whatever you call your Higher Power of Love and Light)

Congratulations Reiki I Students!!

Congratulations Reiki I students!! This is our first Reiki class taught at the Port Angeles Food Bank.
They have an awesome classroom space for local small businesses that can no longer teach in their living room due to larger class sizes. And, other businesses that need a large teaching/meeting space. Just volunteer and support the foodbank and they can host you. I believe this will be a symbiotic relationship!!

SEQUIM LOCALS- Holistic Fair May 20th- come join us……

Julia Buggy of Blue Mountain Yoga is once again hosting this incredible Holistic Wellness Fair !! This was really wonderful and amazing last year and I believe this year will be even better.  
 
This event is a FABULOUS opportunity to meet our local healers and take classes or have quick sessions during the fair.  Plus we get to support our small holistic community of healers.  Rain Shadow Reiki will be there the whole day; I’m teaching 2 classes, one on ‘Reiki Every Day’ & ‘Reiki + Psychic Healing’.  I’ll also be doing spirit guide readings during the fair and my helpers will be doing mini Reiki sessions, all from 1-4pm.

Reiki III is one of my favorites to teach because we get the Master Symbol which is AMAZING and because we get to go deeper into our practice with Reiki.  We learn tools for working with our Reiki for our everyday lives.

A Personal Message from Josslyn

Hello, Josslyn/Joss here.  Call me either one, I go by both.  

One thing you might want to know about me if you’re reading this blog or considering a class or private session from me is that in my astrological chart and Human Design, I’m what is called a wounded healer.  I have Chiron at a place in my life path where it is challenging me to heal and look in the mirror pretty much every day for my whole life. (Most people have it at two maybe three areas of their chart for about a year and a half each time).  It seems to me sometimes that it’s drama after drama after drama; but I choose to call them HEALING OPPORTUNITIES!!

This is me in my professionally taken photos for my blog. It was taken with my son’s graduation photos and it was a happy sunny day. Good memories of this day with my son.

Since I’ve found Reiki and other energy healing modalities in 1997 when I woke up, I’ve turned the ‘drama’ in my life into healing, growth, learning and helping others.   

I usually keep my blogs to writing about ideas of HOW to work with the Reiki you are channeling.  But, life changes on a dime and we want to change with it to keep up.   Saying that, I’ll admit this to you all,  I’ve been struggling with writing blogs ever since the car crash my family was in in 2017. (If you don’t know about the crash, search Josslyn Streett + Colorado)  Two of my family members were killed and I was near death for a few weeks.  Communication is my life path, but verbally, not the written word.  So, the blog writing has been the last thing on my list and I’m very sorry to you all for that.  I haven’t forgotten about you, truly. 

But, you know the Universe, from the crash, I did not die so there must be more work for me here, and hopefully more fun. THANK YOU REIKI IN ADVANCE FOR MORE FUN!!! (Ask and you shall receive)

I am here and my goal since the beginning of the healing process when I got home from the hospital is to not just live, but thrive.  Well, that is easier said than done, even with Reiki.  But, I’m a healer, I don’t give up and that is what life here on earth takes, do not give up hope, just keep moving forward best you can; one minute at a time, one step at a time, one day at a time.  Whatever you can do, just keep moving on.  And, with Reiki we have an extra special gift to do just that.  I believe Reiki has saved my life many more times then those doctors in CO.

Our human subconscious minds still think healing is linear and it goes in a straight line and gets better and better as we heal with our Reiki and intentions.  But, that is just not how human bodies work, or human soul paths.  We go back and forth, forward then back, up then down, around and around and then we transition.  Kind of like that.  So the less we are attached to the linear way of thinking, the less we will stress ourselves out.  But, as much as I know that in my conscious mine, I STILL WANT IT TO BE LINEAR in the process.  So, long story longer almost five years later, I’m still very much healing, even new issues that have come up from five years ago; it’s a constant healing process as I’m still healing my physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies and am teaching and working with clients in between, when I am able.  

Thank you all for being patient with me when I have really not been able to write blogs or teach or even ADULT at all.  Thank you all for sending Reiki to me and my son and our soul paths; it is much welcomed and much gratitude sent in return and Reiki blessings as well.  And, thank you for being patient even still as I’m continuing my healing path and sometimes able to DO Reiki/Psychic classes and sometimes not.  And, sometimes not writing blogs for long periods of time.  We are actually working on a new website and the goal is to do video blogs, that is my more natural way of communicating and hopefully I’ll be more consistent.  But, we’re human and so we do what we can do.

But, the other thing to know about me, especially IF you are considering having a private session or taking a class from me, I do not give up.  I just keep on going at whatever pace I’m able to and I keep healing and teaching whenever I’m able.  My son comes first, then my Reiki passion.  Because, everything I learn from healing myself, I then turn around and teach YOU ALL!! That is what a wounded healer is.  We have much to teach if you are able to go with the flow, you will heal much and learn much from us.  As wounded healers we are also able to help you go DEEPER with your healing.  We have a huge bandwidth of pain and trauma that we are able to pull from to help you go there, heal and release.  We also understand people who have been through trauma because we have been there too.  There is much to be said for a Reiki/Psychic Healing from a wounded healer.  BUT, it’s all your soul path.  So, if I resonate with you as a teacher/healer, then I’m the one to go to.  If I do not, then keep looking.

 It’s all good, it’s just not all easy!!

Join Us for March Healer’s Circle on Zoom

Wednesday, March 30th –  Rain Shadow Reiki Event – on ZOOM
 
Rain Shadow Reiki Healer’s Circle is a Reiki Circle, other healing modalities circle, spiritual support community and energy healing class, ALL WRAPPED UP INTO ONE EVENT!! 
 
The healers who show up get to create the event each time.  We call it Healer’s Circle because we learn more than just Reiki every time; we learn many different healing modalities to heal ourselves and those we love, and the world. 
 
What to expect:
 
The first half of the event is a support group for people who are healing themselves in this life and maybe even healing others as well.  It is for ALL people who feel they are drawn to healing work, not just for professionals.  We introduce ourselves at first, talk about the challenges we are having or not having especially being highly sensitive, empathic or psychic.  Any of the healers who attend may respectfully help with their unique life information and experience, we learn from each other’s wealth of knowledge.  Then we take a break.  The second half of the event, Creator tells us what to do as far as a healing modality based on what happened in the first half of the group.  We never know what we will do and it’s usually quite unique and different, usually fun and quite often we learn so much.  Josslyn is ready if our Divine Guidance says we need to have a channeled meditation for healing, do Reiki Psychic Healing, ThetaHealing  or some other type of psychic healing.  But, anyone is welcome to teach something new from their specific wheelhouse as long as it is Divinely Guided.  We go with the Divine Flow!!  With Reiki, we know it’s always for our best and highest good.

EVERY MONTH IS AWESOME!!! 
 
This Circle is for Energy Healers of all modalities to get together and hold space for each other to share, heal, learn and BE.  We will be talking about being a healer with the unique challenges and gifts and what that means.  Discussing the challenges we are having in our daily lives and how best to heal them.  We will be learning to hold space for each other and ourselves.  Then we will organically flow into healing ourselves, each other, our communities of our planet and Mother Earth – wherever spirit guides us!
It is INCREDIBLE every single month!! We leave feeling more clean, clear, magical, heart centered, connected and more in tune with the Creator.  We can’t wait!!  
 
Reiki is not required, but always recommended.  In the flow of the monthly events, each person can share their healing modalities with the group as organically needed, wanted and of free will. It is not required. You can just show up and listen, it’s all good.  We ask you to introduce yourself and just be a part of the group as much as you are ready, willing and able to be.

Reiki Didn’t Work For Me

**2nd in a series on being successful with your Reiki practice when it doesn’t come easy to you.  Here is a link to the first blog, Signs that your Reiki Really is ON.

In my classes, like my teacher before me,  I tell people to look back after one year of being attuned to Reiki and they will see how their lives have changed a great deal.  IF AND ONLY IF they are actually working with their Reiki regularly.  DAILY IS BEST.
I encourage you to work with your Reiki each and every day in your life, make it a part of your daily living and you will see major changes for good happening right away.
 However, what if Reiki doesn’t come easy to you?  What do you do then?
Easy………. like any other new thing in your life, stick to it, make it a priority, and then DO IT!! DO IT ANYWAY!!
GO WITH THE FLOW
With Reiki, I’m a very go with the flow teacher.  I believe the more we attempt to control our spiritual practice, the more Divine gives us lessons for control.
But, for this one thing, starting a new and very important habit that can literally change your life for the better — This One Time, Don’t Go With The Flow.  
*****REMINDER:

ANY CHANGE IS STRESS
In the beginning doing Reiki will be new and therefore different. Anything different to us can often be construed as STRESS!! ………..Oh no, not that!
If your mind translates the Reiki as stress then you will probably protect yourself from the stress by NOT doing it. Sabotage will occur, you stop doing it and then you end up seeing no benefits and it’s easy to say “Reiki didn’t work for me.”  When this is really not the truth at all.
We must work at the habit of the Reiki.
The daily work, the consistency to learn it, feel it and want it, is the hard part, the Reiki itself is the easy part.
Joss’ Story
“Doing Reiki for others came very easy to me, I’m a giver and always have been.  Receiving was totally new to me.  Therefore, doing Reiki on myself daily did not happen for quite a long time after taking my Reiki classes.  I knew I had these mental belief blocks to doing Reiki on myself, and I knew I needed to heal them, so I decided to do a lot of Reiki on others and INTEND to heal these blockages in my belief system during these healings on others.  Since our client and ourselves both receive Reiki, this was my indirect way of healing myself, the scenic route to healing an issue.  Longer, but also effective. This takes a little longer, but for me it worked – until it didn’t.  I reached a point where my intuition was giving me signs that this was no longer what I needed, I needed to do hands on Reiki daily.  I needed a new plan.  
So, I decided the old fashioned way was best for me.  It was close to the end of the year, so I decided that on New Years Day, I would make ONE New Years Resolution.  For that entire year, I would do Reiki on myself every single day, no matter what.  This was the only new major commitment I made that year and I stuck to it, because I knew I needed to and because I made the commitment to myself.  There were only two days where I had the stomach flu and did not accomplish my daily Reiki, every other day I did.  And what is more important, now doing Reiki on myself became MY NEW NORMAL.  Now, if I don’t do daily Reiki, I don’t feel normal and my body, mind and spirit remind me of this at the end of the day.  It’s a win/win.”
 Other Help – ME!
IF after a month of doing daily Reiki, you still have blockages that you can’t seem to budge, call me for a private session.  That is when we need other healers to help us.  Divine wants us to work together as a community.  He wants us to work as a team, to trust others.  If you have truly done all you feel you can do, that is when you ask for other help.   And if you are truly ready, mind, body and spirit, Reiki and myself will help remove the blockages that are holding you back.  Helping people move forward on their spiritual path is one of my specialties and one of my most favorite paths to help with.  I feel there is no other path that is more worthwhile than working on our connection to our Higher Selves.  I’m happy to help with this process.
 I pray this motivates some of you to take some action in your lives and practice your Reiki.  It’s all good.  It’s all part of YOUR personal journey.  Ask yourself, do I want my journey to start NOW?
