Hello Reiki friends, thank you for being patient with me while I process the death of my father. I have not written a blog for a while and the grieving/healing process is why. Therefore, this blog which I meant to post much earlier is a bit late. But, better late than never, so I present to you a very exciting sound healing opportunity, Bach Flower Remedy Music!! We are so fortunate to have veteran musician Al Harris choose the Olympic Peninsula for his home and come to present for our healers group.

Having loved music from a young age, Al Harris “traded in” his law degree for a music career, and for 12 years wrote and arranged scores for radio, TV and film.

The Process of Composing

“Writing the 38 Bach Flower Music pieces was both interesting and grueling. Over a period of a year, I experienced each emotion so I could find the particular music that would heal it….

An emotion would surface to show me which remedy to work on next.
I read Dr. Bach’s writings, to tap into his healing intent.
I found the frequency of the flower remedy I needed, using kinesiology.
I played the frequency to myself for a week, to tune into the remedy.
I wrote the music based on what the remedy “told” me.

The 38 pieces of music were written with the following flavors – blues, bluegrass, Brazilian, classical, country, East Indian, “forties,” Irish, Jamaican, Japanese, and jazz. As I “lived” with each remedy, it suggested a particular style.” Al Harris

OUR PHC BACH FLOWER SESSION WITH AL

At our teaching session with Al, he told us that people who have worked with his Bach Flower CD have told him it works as good or even better than the remedies themselves. And the Bach Flower music can be used in conjunction with the remedies or by itself.

This is a good chart for seeing which flower essence to be applied to which emotional situation. But Al taught us that we cannot always take them so literally, sometimes we need a different remedy. This is where our own intuition or muscle testing can help us to determine what we truly need. Click on it to make the chart larger.

For our class he played the music while we practiced some automatic writing. He’d play one of the choices three times based and we’d write about how we felt with this music. Then he would tell us what emotion we had been listening to. It was very interesting and sometimes emotional. Then he let people pick some of the remedies they were interested in hearing and listened to them. Then we focused on individuals who wanted healing for a certain situation. Al used kinesiology to determine which music they needed and while playing it we all practiced automatic writing about their situation and then shared with them our insights. It was enlightening for us as well as the person who asked for the healing information.

We had a lot of fun and got a really good idea of how we could work with this music. It helps if you know kinesiology and can test which music you need and how many times to play it, but if you trust your intuition you could do this too. It is not background music that you put on and just let it play, each short 3 to 4 minute composition is a healing tool. Based on what you need, that is what you play. The muscle testing helps you to know which composition and how many times to listen to it and for how many days.

My Guides Deliver a Mini Miracle Again!!

The weather called for rain all week for Saturday, the day of our annual drum circle. I just kept the thought in my head of “My guides chose this date 8 months ago, they wouldn’t choose a date we’d get rained out on, unless it was part of the learning experience.” I felt confident all would be well.

It was a good thing I was correct in that assumption because we had so many people at this drum circle, plan B would have been a very cramped but cozy drum circle in our living room. Gray skies and rain threatened all day long, then just as people started arriving, just like a miracle, the sun came out and shone down upon us. It was beautiful and much celebrated. We had out biggest and most lively drum circle so far.

Potluck

We started with a potluck for the first time, with some fabulous gluten-free, organic and healthy dishes to choose from. What a pleasure to eat at a potluck and not have to worry about what I’m eating. I’m sensitive to so many things, mainly in packaged foods, soy or wheat. No worries here, I ate happily as did many of my sensitive friends. The food was amazing.

Blessing Ceremony with Sage

We took turns making sure everyone who wanted to receive the sage got it.

Then we moved onto a cleansing, grounding and blessing ceremony with beautiful sage from California that my soul sister Heather gave me as a gift. Sage is known for it’s cleansing ability to clear away negative or like I call ‘old’ energy. Energy that we are ready to let go of, it helped us, but is no longer needed. We intend for this energy to go to Heaven or Mother Earth to be healed too. This is also a blessing to each other that we do this FOR each other in love and devotion to the cleansing of ourselves and our world, together as one.

Oscar went around the circle making sure all the instruments received cleaning and blessing too.

It’s quite a perfect experience. We also just had a lot of fun smoking each other with the sage and feeling our stresses and worries drift away with the smoke. Some had not done this before so it was a completely new experience and others had done this many times. Even the kids got to experience something entirely new to them, opening up their boxes of life experiences at a young age.

Drumming for Healing

Divine told me to get out of my chair and drum on each person in the circle. So, I listened. It was better for me too since moving around is preferable for me to sitting. It was healing for me to be able to move and dance to the beat of the drums.

I truly believe, because my guides have been telling me for about two years and getting stronger and stronger in their messages the more I listen, that sound is the medicine of the future. They are doing great research about how different sound frequencies heal different diseases. (Click on the link on ‘frequencies heal’ to watch a 17 min. video of how sound shatters cancer cells. It is incredible.) It is working against cancer and other diseases such as bacterial infections.

Really getting into the flow of the energy, melding our vibrations together in music and vibrations for healing. When we are all in the trance of the drumming the playing takes on a life of it's own and we are able to drum from intuition. — Really getting into the flow of the energy, melding our vibrations together in music and vibrations for healing. Therefore, I truly believe in the healing power of the drum and other musical instruments and machines that create vibration. When we are feeling joy, bliss and spiritual connection at the same time, such as during a spiritual community event like a drum circle, we can only be lifted up and healed by the process.

any energies that are leaving the other people who are being healed as well as our own. The Reiki and our Reiki guides take this energy to the perfect place for it to be healed itself and recycled into love and light again. It’s a win/win for all involved. While running our Reiki during spiritual activities like drumming we also are able to receive intuitive information that is much-needed. For me this came in messages about getting up and drumming over each person. Then it came in the form of who needed drumming most and where on their body they needed it.

Getting into the vibrations and the music.

I listened and the people who needed the stronger vibrations of my Reiki Attuned drum, got them. One person said when my drum was over their head vibrating it felt like golden Divine Light was streaming into his crown. That was a radiant personal example of why we run Reiki while doing ANY other spiritual activity. Reiki brings Spiritual Power, Protection and Support!!

Reiki Master too, led us in a game called King Elephant. It was funny, hilarious and we were all cracking up by the end. Winding Up

We had some casual mix and mingle time where Reiki people got to meet and talk with other Reiki people. Then some of us did another round of drumming and some of us kept connecting through talk. It was, speaking for myself at least, a truly blessed evening. I slept like a baby too.

People who wanted stronger vibrations for healing were invited to sit in the center and feel the vibrations coming from all sides. Then I would bring my Reiki Attuned drum and play on the chakras I was guided to play to.

A BIG HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO PARTICIPATED IN PERSON OR IN SPIRIT. YOU WERE WITH US IN THE CENTER OF THE CIRCLE GETTING HEALED AS WELL.

Crystal Bowl Healing Circle in Sequim, WA

Last week we had a special treat in our small town of Sequim, WA. (Sk-wim) A new couple who moved to Sequim from Texas recently hosted a crystal bowl introduction and healing circle. Pat Coughlin Mawson is a certified Hypnotherapist and apparently her and her husband also have a passion for sound healing. They’ve only been here four months and are already holding community events. I’m very excited about sound healing and have wonderful memories from the powerful singing bowl healing I had in Sedona, AZ eight years ago. So, even though my mom was visiting, I felt strongly that I needed to attend this healing session. Luckily my mom was pretty open to a new experience and decided to come with me, along with eleven Reiki friends.

Once I got a few tips, it was quite easy. There were six bowls total and two of them were very large. If I couldn't tell if my bowl was 'working' I'd hold the balloon up close and could feel the vibrations of the balloon much easier.I could hear the bowls that were not near me easier than the one I was playing. — Me with my mom. What a fabulous evening it was. I’m so inspired I am now on the hunt for the perfect quartz crystal singing bowl for my Reiki room. I can’t wait to incorporate this into my healing sessions along with my drum. I have said it before, my guides have been giving me messages for the last couple of years that sound healing is the healing of the future. I am starting now! Healing Power of Crystal Singing Bowls

Crystal singing bowls are made of pure quartz. The human body has many crystalline structures, such as our bones, DNA, and blood. These structures have a natural resonance with quartz. Even our cells contain silica, the same substance found in quartz. These natural affinities make these crystal singing bowls naturally healing to our bodies. Quartz crystal singing bowls, unlike their Tibetan counterparts, can also be tuned to a specific note. This makes them perfect for sound healing and the balancing of specific chakras.

Research on Healing with Sound

Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, the Director of Medical Oncology and Integrative Medicine at the Strang-Cornell Cancer Prevention Center in New York, has done extensive research on singing bowls and their effects on the body and emotions. He has found, we are bombarded with disharmony on a daily basis. We all have a natural inner harmony. But, every day, day in and day out, we are exposed to disharmony-loud noises, horns honking, people yelling, doors slamming, and on and on. All these noises generate vibrations which our body feels. disharmony is inevitable. If we return harmony to our body, our lives can be transformed. Singing bowls show astounding results for helping bring harmony back to our bodies. Dr. Gaynor has used singing bowls with his patients with astounding results. A diagnosis of cancer can create an extraordinary fear in a patient. When Dr. Gaynor treats them with singing bowls, they are suddenly relieved of their fear and able to live in the moment. He has seen marital problems, job related stress or illness relieved. Everything in our lives can be transformed when we are in harmony.

Experience

Many of the people were able to put their feet in the bowls and feel the vibrations throughout their whole body. My friend Gigi did this and said it tickled. I heard others say that they felt vibrations radiating through their entire being all at the same time.

The crystal singing bowls is one of those healings that you just have to experience for yourselves. Pat and her husband plan to do these healings once per quarter if you’d like to get on their email list. Or get on mine and I’ll forward the event updates to you. We all got a chance to sit in the center of all the bowls going all at once. I could hear each of them in their own magnificent way and feel the vibrations coming from all sides. I could feel it through my whole body at times, at other times I could feel it working in my chakras. It was intense. I felt my chakras opening up, I felt the healing energy moving through me and I felt myself fill with such gratitude that I started to tear up and weep. This often happens for me when I feel such powerful gratitude coming from Divine healing. It is the greatest, fullest, most loving feeling I have experienced. So magnificent and helps me feel one with our Divine Source.

Run Your Reiki Too

Of course, I bring my Reiki and my Reiki guides with me to any healing session. I typically activate the Reiki prior to going in or if I forget, I’ll do it before the session begins. The Reiki surrounds me with spiritual power so I can bring in the best and most beautiful of the vibrations and let go of all the ‘old’ and unneeded energy. The Reiki brings in powerful Divine protection to make sure I don’t take on any energy from other people in the group and to make sure that all ‘old’ energy that leaves me goes to the highest and best place possible for healing. I send mine to Mother Earth or to the Angels to take it to Heaven to be “recycled” into love again. The Reiki also fills and surrounds me with spiritual support; intuitive ideas, guidelines, visions and suggestions for getting the most out of my experience. Such as, which intention to work with, when exactly my chakras are open and ready to move into the center for healing, etc. Reiki is with me throughout the whole experience making sure it is ALL IN PERFECT DIVINE ORDER and that I leave feeling blissful and healed. This is a particularly important step if you are a sensitive person.

Experiencing or Buying a Singing Bowl

I recommend, just like with stones, finding a place that sells bowls if you want to try them. Play them all that are available to play and get a feel for the vibration. If you want to purchase one, choose with your intuition. Choose the one that you are drawn to the most. Walk away for a bit and look at other things in the store. The bowl that you keep thinking about, that is YOUR bowl. If you do not have a place near by and want to purchase one off of the internet, again, use your intuition to select a site to buy from. Pray to your Reiki guides or directly to your Higher Power to make sure they send you the perfect bowl for your healing. Put emotion into it, let Divine know how you want to use the bowl and why you want it and TRUST that what you get is perfect for you and your needs.

I pray many of you get to experience these beautiful healing tools. You may just fall in love like I did.
