Love Your Liver Tea

By Josslyn Streett, Reiki Master/Teacher for Rain Shadow Reiki in Sequim, WA
Hello Reiki Friends,

I have been working with Marty at Sequim Spice and Tea for almost a year to have the perfect liver support tea. LOVE YOUR LIVER tea blend on the shelf at Sequim Spice and Tea is my favorite and my body loves it. It supports your organs, not a heavy detoxifying. Our organs will do that on their own if they have the proper support which this tea gives. This is not just a detox tea, this is an infusion that will help support your body function better in the whole process of detoxifying the body daily for your entire life. We detox every day of our life, we need daily habits to support this process better in this crazy world we live in. THIS tea is one of my regular GO TO daily helpers.

I have made it a daily habit to drink 2 to 5 cups of this tea mixed with sea salt/lemon or a tad of juice to mix it up a bit and my body is so much happier. When I’m off of it, I definitely feel a difference and it’s not good. I get more headaches, more tired, more of the detox symptoms I don’t like.
I brew a big pot every other day or every third day, keep it in a big glass jug in the fridge and drink it when I want it. I drink it as an ice tea but you can rewarm it too.
Blessings to you all, let me know how you like it, tell Marty I sent you in….

Here are the directions for this infusion:
Love Your Liver Tea – Organic peppermint, organic fennel seed, organic fenugreek seed, organic licorice, organic burdock root, organic flax seed, organic dandelion root, organic ginger root.
Infusions remove the easily extracted vitamins, minerals, medicinal properties and volatile oils from herbs. An infusion is stronger than tea.
Instructions on how to make it.
The water should have just begun to boil since vigorously boiling water disperses valuable volatile oils in the steam. Be sure to cap your infusion vessel quickly and tightly to further preserve these oils. A quart canning jar with a screw on lid works well as an infusion vessel.
1. Boil 34oz water.
2. Add 1oz. herb to your infusion vessel.
3. Pour freshly boiled water onto herbs, stir.
4. Immediately cap tightly to preserve volatile oils.
5. Let infuse 4-8 hours, or overnight.
6. Strain and press the infusion from the herbs.
7. Drink 1-2 cups per day and refrigerate extra. Consume extra with in a day or two.
If this infusion is strong or bitter you may add a peppermint tea bag, or some other flavorful herbal tea (like lemon zinger), to the infusion vessel or dilute the finished infusion with juice.
